IndigoVision IP-CCTV Protects Canada’s Largest Youth Shelter
IndigoVision’s complete IP Video solution has provided an invaluable CCTV surveillance upgrade for Toronto-based Covenant House, the country's largest shelter for homeless youth.
More than just a place to stay, Covenant House provides 24/7 crisis care and has the widest range of services under one roof, including education, counseling, health care and employment assistance.
The CCTV upgrade was designed and installed by IndigoVision’s local partner Intercon Security and involved the replacement of an ageing DVR-based analog system, which delivered poor video quality, limited storage and had no ability for remote monitoring. The capability to deliver very high quality video images and to view recorded incidents remotely, were just two of the reasons for choosing IndigoVision’s IP Video system against upgrading to a newer DVR model. The flexibility and scalability of IP Video means Covenant House can also easily and inexpensively add new cameras to the system in the future.

VIVOTEK PT7137 with Impressive Low Light Performance
PT7137 demonstrated impressive low-light performance at 1.5 Lux and delivers secure wireless connection with WEP and WPA encryption.
"We are impressed with how well the camera handled very low light levels and general movement at 30fps on maximum resolution was reasonably smooth." said Dave Mitchell, author of TrustedReviews, "We also found the internal microphone worked well as it didn’t introduce the customary one second lag often found with IP cameras."
Offering a wide field of view that covers 350 degrees horizontally and 125 degrees vertically, PT7137 is comparable with other rival products in the same price range. In sum, VIVOTEK PT7137 is ideal for users seeking to gain pan/tilt and wireless capabilities with limited budget.

Axis cameras in service at Länsförsäkringar
Axis Communications’ network cameras are now part of the Swedish insurance company Länsförsäkring Älvsborg’s alarm service for farming, companies and private homes. Länsförsäkringar will initially offer the alarm service to its policy holders in Älvsborg county.
The alarm service means that customers with the installed service will receive an alarm in the case of an unexpected event such as a burglary or water damage at home when they are not there. The event is verified by video from an Axis network camera. All that is required is an Axis network camera, which is connected to an alarm, and a broadband connection. Swedish Connection, one of Axis’ partners, has designed the service for Länsförsäkringar Älvsborg’s alarm center.

Lucky Eagle Casino Goes Megapixel
Cameras enhance gaming surveillance efforts at Washington facility.
"The new megapixel cameras were installed in order to improve image resolution issues we were experiencing with conventional analog cameras," Grijalva says. "It is important that our surveillance operators can clearly see the indexes of the cards. We need to unmistakably view suits and ranks and be able to distinguish between a heart and a diamond, and the analog cameras were not picking up enough of this detail." The megapixel cameras, with their improved quality and resolution, were recommended by security integrator North American Video (NAV) to solve the problem. "The cameras provide the resolution we need to track and verify what is actually happening at our gaming tables," Grijalva says.

IndigoVision IP Video Enhances Hong Kong Traffic Surveillance
IndigoVision’s complete IP-CCTV technology has been used to extend the capabilities of Hong Kong’s extensive traffic surveillance system.
The current analog system has been expanded with the addition of 48 cameras using IndigoVision’s IP Video system, creating a fully integrated 250 camera hybrid solution.
The introduction of IndigoVision’s IP-based distributed networked provides a platform for full migration to IP Video in the future. The migration project was designed and installed by IndigoVision’s local partner Tung Po (HK) Technology Enterprise Ltd. Tung Po also developed bespoke software to create an integrated ‘front end’ for both the existing analog system and IndigoVision’s IP Video. This was interfaced with ‘Control Center’, IndigoVision’s IP Video and alarm management software, which provides powerful virtual matrix switching features, alarm handling and video analysis tools.
